Ethiopia’s Minister of Planning and Development, H.E. Dr. Fitsum Assefa, met with Vietnamese Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, to discuss expanding trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.

H.E. Dr. Fitsum emphasized Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Vietnam, expressing interest in learning from Vietnam’s rapid economic growth. Dr. Fitsum underscored opportunities for Vietnamese investors in Ethiopia’s special economic and industrial zones. 

Additionally, she welcomed collaboration on the P4G Global Summit, recognizing Vietnam’s expertise in hosting the event and sharing Ethiopia’s green development initiatives. Both sides agreed to collaborate on the 2027 P4G Global Summit which will be hosted by Ethiopia.
