At the 20th ILO Regional Conference for Labour-Based Practitioners, H.E. Dr. Fitsum Assefa, Minister of Planning and Development, highlighted Ethiopia’s inclusive growth strategy—anchored in sound policy, strategic reforms, and job-focused development.

Minister Dr Fitsum emphasized progress under the Ten-Year Development Plan (TYDP), with a focus on creating decent jobs, advancing skills, and addressing unemployment. Key programs—such as industrial parks, MSME development, and TVET reforms—are creating employment and addressing critical gaps like youth joblessness and skill mismatches.
