The 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference will begin today under the chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, where more than 150 country leaders, high-level delegations, civil society and private sector representatives will be present. In the next two week the conference will be design a plan for countries to quickly transition from non-renewable energy sources to renewable energy sources. It is expected that countries' carbon emissions, commitments to withdraw from non-renewable energy sources, and climate change compensation that developed countries must pay to developing countries, as well as financial support, will be the main agenda items. In addition to this, countries present their climate change activities. Ethiopia also hosts various events in its two pavilions. The leaders' meeting is held on Friday and Saturday.
